Coastal Point: A Look Back at 2021

It’s safe to say that 2021 was a year of change for everyone. The year may have been filled with unexpected challenges and a couple of road blocks along the way, but we persevered. As we leave 2021 behind us and look towards 2022, we want to take a moment to reflect on the memories that were made, the moments that were captured and the milestones that were celebrated. Especially with how much has happened in the community — including family-friendly events, construction updates and welcoming new neighbors onto the block — we thought that we’d take this opportunity to share some of Coastal Point’s best highlights with you from 2021.

1. New Model Homes

In 2021, the community saw incredible growth, and with that came the release of new model homes. In the spring, Coventry Homes introduced their new Anson model, boasting over 2,600 sq.ft., equipped with four bedrooms, allowing you to customize your space any way you’d like. Empire Communities also released the Caspian model home, which draws upon soft neutral tones to emulate the breezy and relaxed atmosphere of living by the water.

With so many more new-build homes expected to be released in 2022, there’s plenty of opportunity to make your move to the community. Just follow our news page to stay up-to-date on all the details coming soon.

2. Giving Back

Earlier in 2021, both Empire Communities and Coventry Homes gave back to the residents of Coastal Point by thanking those who serve the public and help keep the community safe. As a part of the Hometown Heroes program, Empire Communities offered firefighters, paramedics, teachers and nurses the opportunity to receive a $1,000 credit towards the purchase of a new Empire home. Likewise, Coventry Homes offered nurses, active and retired veterans, firefighters and police officers who purchased a new Coventry home $1,000 towards customizing their interior finishes.

3. Spring Homeowner Event

There’s no shortage of events for Coastal Point residents to enjoy. In the spring, we hosted a Spring Homeowner Event, dedicated to thanking our homeowners for choosing Coastal Point as their place to plant roots and grow. Each family received a bed of flowers, had a chance to speak to master gardeners for gardening tips and tricks, and explored booths from local vendors.

4. Film and Float Event

In the summer, residents got to experience the Film and Float Event. Attendees were invited to watch one of Disney’s latest movies while floating along in the community pool. Complimentary snacks and drinks were provided to complete the ultimate movie-going experience.

5. Fall Harvest Event

As fall rolled around, locals were able to experience Coastal Point’s Fall Harvest Event — the biggest event in the community’s history. With over 200 attendees, families gathered on a sunny afternoon to enjoy a variety of seasonal activities. From picking the perfect pumpkin to face painting and more, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

6. Holiday Market

The year concluded with the Coastal Point Holiday Market in December, where locals could take in all of the sights and sounds of the winter season. Families were able to take pictures with Santa while discovering the offerings of local vendors. There was also no shortage of tasty treats for attendees to nibble on from a variety of on-site food trucks. We couldn’t think of a better way to end off 2021 than by filling up on holiday cheer.

7. Featured Builder Program

Our Featured Builder series was designed to showcase the best-of-the-best in Coastal Point. Every two months, a new builder is given the spotlight on our homepage, blog, social media and monthly emails.

We kicked off the year with Coventry Homes, a trusted builder with more than twenty years of experience in the four major Texas markets. In the spring, we featured Empire Communities, one of North America’s largest homebuilders whose mission is to make luxury living more affordable. To close out the summer, we featured Brightland Homes (formerly Gehan Homes), one of Texas’ most trusted builders, with more than twenty five years of experience.

With that, 2021 has officially wrapped and we can’t wait to see what 2022 brings to the community. To stay up-to-date on everything new and noteworthy happening in the new year, keep an eye out on our news page and follow us on Facebook.
