6 Fun-Filled Things to do in League City Summer 2021

From live concerts and car shows to cook-offs and camp activities for kids, League City is home to a host of fun summer activities. No matter how you like to have fun in the sun, read on to discover all there is to do in and around League City this summer.

Camp by the Creek
Ongoing all summer


Have your kids spend their summer at Camp by the Creek, which runs from June to August at the Hometown Heroes park and is filled with different programs, craft activities, swimming, sports, field trips and outdoor activities. Spots are limited, so be sure to register your children as soon as possible.

Texas Outlaw Challenge
Wednesday June 23 – Sunday, June 27

The Kemah Boardwalk is filled with summer events, and the annual Texas Outlaw Challenge is one of the season’s best. This four-day event focused on high-performance boating and is full of exciting races, parties and activities. All proceeds support local volunteer water conservation efforts and select charities.

The Brunch! Mixer & Market
Sunday, July 4


Grab a bite, have a drink, listen to live music, partake in a yoga class, and shop from great local vendors all at The Brunch! on the lawn at Baybrook. This local festival draws in vendors from across the country and people from across Houston, and this year promises to be their biggest and best event yet. Rock the Dock
Every Thursday night in July & August

Another popular event at the Kemah Boardwalk is Rock the Dock, a summer concert series that takes place every Thursday night from June 24 until August 19. This year’s lineup includes a classic rock night, British invasion tribute, Queen tribute, Journey tribute and so much more. And if you’re in the mood for some Tejano tunes, be sure to also stop by Kemah every Sunday in June and July for more great music.

 

Alvin Music Festival & Cook-Off
Friday, September 10 – Sunday, September 12

A three-day event that draws in people from across Houston, the Alvin Music Festival & Cook-Off promises a weekend of family food with great music and even better food. The festival donates their proceeds to funding scholarships to local students in high school and college, as well as supporting organizations that provide food and shelter services.

Mustang Car Show
Saturday, September 18

The biggest Mustang event in the Houston area, the Mustang Car Show on the Kemah Boardwalk puts these sleek muscle cars on display. Anyone can enter to display their car (registration fee is $30), and spectating is free.
